The Bainbridge Community Foundation has recently awarded 53 grants amounting to $137,000 to local island causes, and the average grant was for approximately $2,500.
The Lambert/Kuffle award, which is named for staff at the Bainbridge Community Foundation, went to Martha & Mary, Peninsula Community Health Center, and Washington State Smile Partners for their work with health, housing and human services.
